Bandai Namco recently announced that it is bringing the online exclusive free to play 6v6 objective-based first-person shooter, Gundam Evolution, worldwide in 2022.
In a PlayStation Blog post, Bandai Namco Online inc, executive producer, Kazuya Maruyama said that the new game was designed to combine “Fast and immersive Mobile Suit Team Battles” with “The ability for any Mobile Suit to clench victory using their unique set of attributes, abilities and boost tactics”.
Among the roster of mobile suits available are “the great grandfather” RX-78-2 Gundam, the fan favourite ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos, the iconic MSN-04 Sazabi, the mighty MS-06 Zaku II, and the unique System-∀99 ∀ Gundam (pronounced: Turn-A Gundam).
There will be at least 12 mobile suits in the initial roster with more unlockable in-game through in-game currency or EVO Coins (actual money).
Maruyama says that two additional units – Gundam Exia and Marasai – will be added in the upcoming closed network test.
Of course, the game will have all the free to play tropes such as unlockable cosmetics like mobile suit skins, weapons skins and weapon charms
Gundam Evolution will be available on PC, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5.
