Sora is finally joining Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate after so many fan requests for the character’s appearance in the game.
Sora is coming on as a DLC (downloadable content) starting October 18th.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roaster is finally complete after three years with the addition of Sora from Kingdom Hearts.
The lead character from Square Enix’s action RPG franchise caps the number of playable characters in Nintendo’s franchise-spanning fighting game to 86.
Masahiro Sakurai worked himself to the bone in the making of this game. Sakurai-san was even diagnosed with calcific tendonitis in his right shoulder in October 2012, during Smash Ultimate’s development.
All that is over and he can take a break and we can enjoy his work.
What Is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Almost like The Avengers, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a multi world crossover fighting game published by Nintendo. The game was launched in 2018, succeeding the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii.
The game has a roster of iconic characters from Square Enix (Final Fantasy franchise), Nintendo’s own game library, Bandai Namco (creators of Pac Man), Konami, Sega (creators of Sonic The Hedgehog), Altus (creators of Jack Boy and Revelations: Persona), Microsoft (Xbox), Capcom (creators of Mega Man), and even Disney.
What Is Kingdom Hearts?
Kingdom Hearts is a series of games developed by Square Enix in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company.
The game spans across the wide Disney and Square Enix universe, following the main character, Sora, on his journey and experiences with characters from Disney and Pixar as well as characters from Final Fantasy, The World Ends With You and Einhänder, in addition to the original characters and locations made for this game series.
The primary plotline of the game is Sora’s adventures clashing against the multiple incarnations of Xehanort, the main antagonist of the game.
Who Is Sora?
As mentioned before, Sora is the main character in Kingdom Hearts, the hero to bring light into the many Disney, Pixar and Square Enix worlds plunged into darkness, helping the characters along the way.
Sora wields a Keyblade, a mysterious weapon that allows him to fight against “The Heartless”, creatures that originate from the Realm of Darkness.
His main mission in Kingdom Hearts is to stop the creatures and Xehanort from taking over the multiple worlds where Disney, Square Enix and Kingdom Hearts characters live in.
