The Galaxy S23 Ultra is currently the best smartphone Samsung has to offer. It’s powered by a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, delivering higher clock speeds and its new 200MP camera sensor is capable of taking amazing shots. If you are planning to upgrade your phone, we compiled five reasons why the S23 Ultra should be worthy of your consideration.

Jaw-dropping Display

The 6.8-inch 1440p Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO display is one of the highlights of the phone. Though it wasn’t a 10-bit display, that doesn’t stop it from being one of the best displays on a smartphone. Samsung said the display can go up to 1,750-nits peak brightness and it can really get eye-searingly bright.

In our review, we mentioned that the display boasts vivid colours, strong saturation, and deep blacks as well as excellent viewing angles. The adaptive brightness feature is also impressive, particularly when transitioning from indoor to outdoor settings, as it ramps up the brightness to ensure clarity even in bright sunlight. Watching HDR content on this phone is simply amazing and it’s something that you must see in-person.

So Much Power

The customised version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powering the Galaxy S23 Ultra is unlike any other 8 Gen 2 smartphones out there. They have higher clock speeds of 3.36Ghz compared to the standard 3.2Ghz. The Adreno GPU also have a higher clock speeds of 719Mhz instead of 680Mhz.

This translates to you can play the most demanding game on it, for example, Genshin Impact on max settings and it will run flawlessly. Emulations? Not a sweat.

If you want to play games on it for hours, there’s a feature called “Pause USB Power Delivery” that gamers can activate it via the Game Booster app. When this option is enabled while gaming, battery charging is paused and power from the attached charger is routed directly to the processor. This prevents the battery from warming up, which enhances the phone’s ability to play games.

Besides gaming, even for daily use, the phone runs like a butter on a freshly toasted bread.

200MP Camera That Isn’t Just A Gimmick

We know camera and photography just isn’t about the number of megapixels on a camera. Higher MP doesn’t necessarily translates to better photos, but in this case, it does. In our review, we said the camera is capable of taking impressive photos under broad daylights and night time.
